How to manage your weight
Maintaining a healthy weight is a goal to which we all aspire, and can develop a healthy lifestyle, which will allow anyone (who is not suffering from a disease) to keep the kilos that accumulate with age. To fall into bad eating habits, particularly during the holiday season, it may be difficult to avoid a trap, but if you follow some tips, you can still enjoy holiday meals without gaining unwanted weight.
Many of us got a good 5-10 pounds between Halloween and New Year's, and then we can make New Year's resolutions, one of which is usually to lose weight. Unfortunately, once you're used to eating foods that taste good (always fat and sugar taste good), then through New Year's resolution can be very difficult. During the holiday season we are surrounded by a lot of foods loaded with unhealthy levels of fat and sugar, provided by well-meaning colleagues, friends and family members who are simply trying to spread some holiday cheer. Sometimes, too much of a good thing is not good, and this is one of those cases.
One way to avoid overeating is to be sure to start the day with a good healthy breakfast should include some fiber. I always start the day with a bowl of oatmeal with quater cup fresh flax seeds which I grind in a coffee grinder buy gold mixed flax seeds in an organic farm in South Dakota called Heintzman Farms, and I I think I have the best tasting, healthy product in the market. Some of flax seeds that are purchased in health food stores are dark, and have a very good taste. Flaxseed is an excellent source of fiber and omega three healthy heart. You can substitute something equally healthy, but the point is to start the day with a healthy, hearty breakfast. Many people think that they are saving a few calories if you skip breakfast, but really, can lead to eating the rest of the day.
Drink plenty of water. Water is much healthier to consume more beverages like soda sugered and help keep you feeling full and help cleanse your digestive system. I try to always keep a bottle of water nearby if you're in the car, at home or at work. Stay hydrated lesson hunger pains, helps to consume fewer calories.
Another important component of weight control is to exercise at least a daily walk. You can walk with someone, or perhaps with a headset, and if you develop this habit, it will become a part of the day when you look into the future. The idea is to keep the body moving a little every day. If you follow some of these guidelines, particularly during the holiday season, you will find that you will be able to maintain a healthy weight.
